Finally, something worth talking about. 'Dorohedoro' is getting a second season, and it's about damn time. The official website has graced us with additional cast members, theme songs, and, most importantly, a promotional video. Kouki Uchiyama is joining as Dokuga, and Daiki Hamano will voice Tetsujou. Plus, Tomokazu Koshimura and Katsuhito Nomura are on board for Saji and Ton, respectively. This is the kind of cast that can actually handle the sheer, unadulterated weirdness of this series.
The new season, adapting Q Hayashida's delightfully grim manga, is set to drop on April 1st. It’s a prime spot for some twisted, action-packed mayhem. The trailer is probably dripping with the same surreal atmosphere and visceral action that made the first season so damn good. This isn't your typical fluffy anime; it's gritty, it's brutal, and it's unapologetically strange. And I, for one, can’t wait to dive back into that cesspool of a world.
It's refreshing to see a show like 'Dorohedoro' get the recognition it deserves. It’s not afraid to be different, to be gross, and to be incredibly compelling. If you haven't seen the first season, you're doing yourself a disservice. And if you have, then you already know why this second season is cause for celebration. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have some grim anticipation to indulge in.
