Another reincarnation story. How original. But fine, let's look at the cast additions for 'Petals of Reincarnation.' We've got Katsuyuki Konishi, Natsuki Hanae, and Yoshimasa Hosoya, among others. It’s a lot of names, and I suppose some of them are… recognizable. I'm not going to pretend I’m suddenly invested, but if they manage to pull off some decent character development, maybe it won't be a complete waste of time.
The third trailer is out, so I guess that means it’s actually happening soon. April 2nd is the premiere date. If the animation looks remotely interesting and the story doesn't fall into the same tired clichés as every other Isekai-adjacent narrative, then… well, then maybe I’ll grudgingly admit it’s not entirely terrible. But don’t get your hopes up for me.
Honestly, the fact that they’re lining up such a stacked cast might mean they’re actually trying to put some effort into this. Or it could just be a desperate attempt to draw in viewers with big names. Either way, it's coming out, so you can decide for yourself if it's worth your precious time. Just don't expect me to be cheering from the sidelines.
"More actors? Great. Just hope their performances are good enough to distract from the inevitable plot holes. Don't get me wrong, I don't care, but… try not to disappoint." — The Tsundere Critic
