So, apparently, those 'Isekai Tensei Soudouki' novels are getting an anime. Big shocker. Another one. This one's about a guy named Bard, voiced by Yūsuke Kobayashi. It's a classic isekai premise, I assume. Reincarnation, probably some overpowered abilities, maybe a harem if we're lucky, or unlucky, depending on your perspective. It's the same old song and dance, just with a slightly different title.
I mean, what else is there to say? It's a novel adaptation, so you know the story's already been written. They'll likely stick to the source material, churning out a predictable narrative arc. I suppose it's nice for the fans of the novel who want to see it animated, but from a critical standpoint? It's hard to get excited about something so formulaic. Still, at least Kobayashi's a decent voice actor, so there's that.
"Isekai again? How original. I suppose it's fine if you like that sort of thing. Just don't expect me to be genuinely thrilled about another protagonist getting a second chance at life. It's all so… predictable." — The Tsundere Critic
