Alkali Rettōsei Manga Concludes

Well, that's that. Mahiro Satou's 'Alkali Rettōsei' manga has wrapped up, concluding its story in the third volume. It feels like just yesterday this thing started, adapted from a Kairiki Bear vocaloid song back in 2023. I suppose it's nice that it had a clear endpoint and didn't just overstay its welcome, unlike some other series I could mention. A tidy three-volume run is... respectable, I guess.

It’s easy to dismiss these adaptations of music as just cash grabs, but sometimes, just *sometimes*, they can actually find their own voice and tell a compelling story. I don't know if 'Alkali Rettōsei' managed to do that, but the fact that it's ended cleanly suggests a degree of creative control and a planned narrative arc. That's more than you can say for many manga that just keep going until the artist is completely burnt out or the sales figures drop into the abyss.

So, to Mahiro Satou, congratulations on finishing your work. I hope it resonated with the fans who followed it. It’s a shame it’s over, but at least it ended on its own terms. Don't expect me to reread it or anything, but I suppose it served its purpose. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have more *important* things to analyze.
