Alright, let's get this over with. It's White Day again. Apparently, everyone feels the need to be extra 'sweet' and 'appreciative' for a whole month. I mean, is it really that hard to just... be nice? But fine, the anime and gaming worlds have decided to indulge in this whole reciprocal gift-giving thing, so here we are with Part I of their 'Happy White Day 2026' messages.
Naturally, the usual suspects are here. Of course, *Demon Slayer* and *One Piece* are plastered all over the place, probably with characters awkwardly handing over little boxes. Then you have the endless stream of *Precure* messages, which I suppose is to be expected. Even *Chibi Maruko-chan* is participating. It's all very... predictable.
What's almost more interesting, though, is seeing the big game companies like Square Enix and Sega joining in. I guess they're trying to generate some goodwill before their next big releases. Look, I'm not saying I don't appreciate a good gesture, but don't expect me to get all misty-eyed over some pixelated candy. Just give me good drama and a story that doesn't rely on tired tropes, and maybe I'll consider it a 'gift'.
"Ugh, so much saccharine sweetness. Honestly, if you really care about someone, you'd just tell them, not wait for a designated 'gift-giving' day. Whatever." — The Tsundere Critic
