Hold on, are they really 'updating' those Uso Tantei Tomanto shorts with voice actors for a TV broadcast? Honestly, I guess some people might care about that.

So, apparently, those little 'Uso Tantei Tomanto' shorts are getting a... 'revamp.' They're going to be broadcast on TV now, and they've even added voice actors. Takako Tanaka is apparently leading the charge on this. I suppose if you're really invested in these characters or enjoy a good mystery, this might be something you're looking forward to. It's certainly a different direction for something that started out as short, silent gags.
I'm not going to pretend I was on the edge of my seat waiting for this. It's just... a thing that's happening. A TV premiere with voices for an anime that's already been released in a different format. It's not exactly pushing the boundaries of storytelling or anything groundbreaking. Still, the fact that they're giving it this kind of platform suggests there's an audience for it, and who am I to judge if they find some enjoyment in this 'updated' version.
Ultimately, it's a premiere on March 30th. If you're a fan, you'll probably find it. If not, well, there are plenty of other shows vying for your attention. It's just a bit of a mild curiosity, really. Don't expect me to be dissecting the nuanced emotional performances or anything, but I suppose it's nice for those who will appreciate it.
"I guess some people actually *like* detective stories with voices? Whatever. It’s fine, I guess. Just don’t expect me to be impressed." — The Tsundere Critic
