Oh, joy. Another episode of Trigun Stargaze, and predictably, it's all downhill from here for Vash. Because of course it is. What else is new? The universe clearly has a penchant for throwing every imaginable disaster at this poor man, and episode 9 seems to be no exception. The snippet suggests a descent into darkness and struggle. Shocking. I'm not going to pretend I'm surprised. It's Vash, after all. He practically collects suffering like rare stamps.
I mean, do I *want* to see Vash suffer? Not really. But is it inherently dramatic and, dare I say, compelling? Fine, yes. It’s the kind of relentless torment that makes you want to yell at the screen, 'Just give the guy a break already!' But that's the brilliance, isn't it? The sheer, unyielding despair that somehow fuels the narrative. It’s the anti-hero’s burden, and Vash carries it with a flair for the dramatic that I begrudgingly admire.
So, as Vash presumably continues his journey through the existential dumpster fire that is his life, we're left to brace ourselves for the inevitable. More pain, more loss, more cryptic pronouncements about his 'curse.' It’s the Trigun way. And while I’ll complain about it, I’ll probably still be watching. Don’t judge me.
"Vash's life is a constant downward spiral. Surprise, surprise. I suppose it wouldn't be Trigun without him getting absolutely pummeled by fate." — The Tsundere Critic
