Solitary Gourmet Returns: 11th Season Kicks Off April 3

Honestly, another season of *Solitary Gourmet*? Don't get me wrong, it's... fine. It's always fine. Matsushige-san just eating by himself, looking vaguely contemplative. It's the kind of show you put on when you don't want to think too hard, which, I admit, has its place. But eleven seasons? Are we sure there are even that many unique ways to describe eating a perfectly cooked piece of something?

Still, there's a certain comfort in the predictability, isn't there? Like knowing the sun will rise, or that someone will complain about too many isekai. This time, it's been a while since the last full season, apparently 3.5 years. So, I guess it's a big deal for the fans who have been desperately missing their dose of quiet gluttony. What more is there to say? Unless they suddenly introduce a dramatic subplot involving a rival food critic or a deeply personal connection to the ingredients, I'm just going to assume it's more of the same. And that's… acceptable.
