Shinobi: Art of Vengeance DLC Adds Iconic Villains!

Ugh, *another* DLC. Shinobi: Art of Vengeance is rolling out a new pack on April 3rd, and of course, they're shoving in a bunch of recognizable villains. Death Adder, Goro Majima, and Dr. Eggman. Seriously? It’s like they just rummaged through a closet of famous bad guys. I suppose it's *fine* if you're into that sort of thing, seeing familiar faces get their comeuppance, but it’s hardly groundbreaking.

I mean, is this supposed to be a celebration of classic antagonists, or are they just cashing in on name recognition? It's a bit of a lazy move, if you ask me. Though, I can't deny a grudging respect for the audacity. Putting Eggman in a Shinobi game is… something. It will probably just be a frustrating boss fight that makes me want to throw my controller, but fine. Whatever.

Look, I'm not saying I *won't* play it, because the actual gameplay in Shinobi is usually pretty solid. But let's not pretend this is some deep, narrative-driven expansion. It's a boss rush with familiar faces. Don't come crying to me when you rage quit because Majima’s being *too* Majima. Honestly, the drama of it all might be more interesting than the actual combat. Maybe.

"Fine, I guess fighting a few recognizable baddies is marginally less boring than some generic, forgettable new boss. Don't expect me to get *excited* though." — The Tsundere Critic
