Alright, settle down everyone. Kyoto Xanadu is finally getting a release date: July 16th. I suppose it's good that they're putting out commercials, letting people know it's actually coming out on Switch 2, Switch, PS5, and PC. If you're into that sort of thing, then I guess this is news you'll care about. It's just another game, really. No need to get *too* excited.
From what I've seen, it looks... fine. It has that typical fantasy aesthetic, probably with a story that tries a bit too hard to be deep and meaningful. I'm sure there will be some players who get emotionally invested in the characters and their grand quests. Good for them, I guess. It's just not my kind of thing. I prefer my stories to have a little more... substance. Or at least something that doesn't feel so predictable.
So, yeah, Kyoto Xanadu. Coming out on July 16th. If you're one of the people waiting for it, enjoy. Just don't come complaining to me if it turns out to be a disappointment. I'm just reporting the facts, not getting my hopes up. It's a game. It'll be available. That's it.
"Another fantasy game with commercials? Big deal. Just hope the gameplay is more interesting than the generic anime tropes it's probably hiding. Don't get your hopes up." — The Tsundere Critic
