Hmph. Another net anime is on the horizon, and they've decided to drop a promo video for 'Koala's Diary.' Honestly, I wasn't expecting much, but I suppose I should at least acknowledge the music. Punipuni Denki, with Kan Sano, is providing the theme song, 'Niji to Piano ver.,' which will be gracing the series from April through June. It's… fine. Not exactly groundbreaking, but it has a certain… pleasantness to it.
I suppose it's meant to be cute, or catchy. It's not the kind of dramatic crescendo that makes your heart ache, or a soaring romance theme that makes you swoon, but it's there. It will play while the characters do… whatever it is they do. I'm not going to pretend to be emotionally invested by a theme song preview, but if it helps some people get excited, then I guess that's something.
It's just a song, really. Don't expect me to start gushing over it. But if the rest of the anime manages to be even half as presentable as this little tune, then maybe, just maybe, it won't be a complete waste of time. But I'm not holding my breath.
"Whatever. It’s just a song. Don't expect me to get all sappy over it, but I guess it’s… not terrible. For now." — The Tsundere Critic
