So, apparently, there's this new show called 'Killed Again, Mr. Detective?' that’s dropping soon. They’ve put out a new video and, surprise, surprise, they’ve got an opening song. Multidimensional Control Mechanism YODAKA is apparently responsible for “Stardust Eureka.” Look, I’m not going to pretend I have high hopes for another detective series filled with convoluted plots and conveniently placed clues. But a good opening theme can sometimes salvage even the most predictable premises.
I’m trying to keep my expectations in check, but that song title… “Stardust Eureka.” It’s either going to be incredibly bombastic and cheesy, or it might actually have some depth. Given the genre, I’m leaning towards the former, but hey, I've been surprised before. It’s those rare moments when a show that seems destined for mediocrity actually delivers something genuinely compelling that keeps me watching, even if I’d never admit it out loud.
My main concern, as always, is whether the narrative will be anything more than a rehash of tired mystery tropes. But if that opening song has any real fire to it, maybe, *just maybe*, there’s a glimmer of hope for some actual drama. Don’t expect me to be thrilled about it, though. It’s just… a song.
"Hmph, a new detective anime. As if we needed another one. At least the song has a decent beat, I guess. Don't read into it." — The Tsundere Critic
