So, another 'Evangelion' thing. Just what the world needed, right? Apparently, to celebrate the big 3-0, they decided to grace us with a short focusing on Asuka. Because, of course, it's always about Asuka, isn't it? You'd think after all these years, there'd be something *new* to explore, but here we are, revisiting familiar faces.
This particular short, which apparently premiered at some festival that sounds vaguely important, is now available for public consumption. I'm sure the die-hard fans are practically hyperventilating with excitement. For the rest of us? Well, it’s another piece of the 'Evangelion' puzzle, and you know how I feel about those by now. Don't expect me to suddenly have an epiphany about the human condition because Asuka throws a tantrum in HD.
Still, I suppose there’s a certain… tenacity to this franchise. Even after all this time, they can still pull an audience. And for those who are perpetually enamored with the melodrama and the… *unique* character dynamics of 'Evangelion,' this is probably a gift. Just don't ask me to analyze its deeper meaning. I've got better things to do, like… well, not watch this.
"Great. More Asuka. Just what my delicate sensibilities needed. Don't expect me to shed a tear over her angst, though." — The Tsundere Critic
