Honestly, does anyone *really* need another Doraemon movie? Apparently, the answer is a resounding 'yes,' as the latest installment continues to dominate the box office charts. It's almost… predictable. I suppose it’s a testament to its legacy, but I’d hoped for something a little more… groundbreaking to shake up the rankings. Still, you can't deny the pull of those futuristic gadgets and that eternally optimistic blue cat.
And then there's the live-action Golden Kamuy. Opening at number three is respectable, I guess. It’s one of those series that has a passionate fanbase, so I suppose a live-action adaptation was inevitable. Whether it captures the raw grit and historical intrigue of the original anime is another question entirely. I'm not holding my breath for pure fidelity, but if it delivers even a fraction of the adventure, perhaps it's worth a grudging nod.
As for Eiga Himitsu no AiPri, debuting at eighth… well, that’s just… fine. It’s always interesting to see which franchises can sustain momentum in live-action, but frankly, the animated worlds often hold a certain charm that’s hard to translate. I’m not saying it’s bad, I'm just saying it's not exactly setting my world on fire. Give me some real stakes, some actual drama, and then maybe I'll care.
"It's fine, I guess. Doraemon's still hogging the spotlight, and while Golden Kamuy's live-action debut isn't terrible, it’s hardly anything to get *excited* about. Just don't expect me to shed tears over it." — The Tsundere Critic
