Author Fujino Omori seems to be building towards a significant milestone, aligning the narratives of Lefiya and Bell. This volume marks a pivotal point in their parallel journeys within the sprawling world of DanMachi.

Honestly, I didn't think author Fujino Omori had it in him to finally bring these two storylines together. 'Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? On the Side: Sword Oratoria' Volume 13, or whatever they’re calling it, appears to be that moment. It’s… almost touching, seeing Lefiya and Bell’s paths start to run in the same direction. Don't get me wrong, I'm not *invested*, but it’s certainly more compelling than just rehashing the same old dungeon crawl.
This feels like the culmination of a lot of build-up, and while I try to maintain a detached critical stance, I can admit there's a certain satisfaction in seeing character arcs actually *progress*. It’s not like I was holding my breath or anything, but the way Omori is weaving their individual struggles into a shared narrative is… well, it's not the worst thing I've read. It hints at some potentially interesting developments for the characters, even if they're still a bit too earnestly trying to be heroes.
So, if you’re one of those people who actually cares about these two, this is probably the volume you've been waiting for. For the rest of us, it’s a decent enough development that might, *might*, elevate the series beyond its predictable roots. Just don’t expect me to gush about it.
"Hmph. I guess it's… fine that they're finally heading towards each other. Not like I was expecting anything groundbreaking, though." — The Tsundere Critic
