Great, more 'DanMachi.' Apparently, the spinoff light novels for 'Astrea Record' are getting a manga adaptation, because why wouldn't they? Karu Yoneshiro is the artist, and it's launching on May 25th. So, if you're into that sort of thing, you can look forward to reading about it in a different format, I guess.
I'm not going to pretend I'm rushing out to buy this. It's just another way to sell the same story to fans. But for those who can't get enough of this universe, I suppose this is good news. It's a prequel, so maybe it'll offer some new insights, or maybe it'll just rehash stuff we already know. Who knows?
Honestly, it's just more content for the 'DanMachi' fandom. If you like it, you'll like it. If you don't, you won't. Don't expect me to get excited about it, though. It’s just… a manga adaptation. So what?
"A manga for a spinoff? Of course. Just more 'DanMachi' for the masses. Whatever." — The Tsundere Critic
