Cyborg 009 Nemesis: Cast & Staff for Summer Premiere!

Ugh, another reboot. 'Cyborg 009: Nemesis' is apparently happening this summer, and they've even bothered to announce Yūichi Nakamura as Graviton. Like, who cares about these generic cyborgs anyway? They probably just throw in flashy powers and call it a day. Still, Nakamura's usually decent, so maybe, *maybe*, there's a glimmer of something here. It’s not like I’m expecting groundbreaking character drama, but if they manage to pull off even a halfway decent conflict, I suppose that’s… something.

Honestly, the staff announcements are more intriguing than the cast reveals for me. Is this going to be another soulless production churning out the same old tropes? Or will they actually try to innovate? It's summer, so the competition for my attention is fierce. They better have more than just a recognizable name attached to make me invest any real emotional energy. I’m not easily impressed, you know.

So, yeah, 'Cyborg 009: Nemesis.' Summer. Nakamura as Graviton. I'll probably watch it. But don't expect me to gush about it. Unless, of course, there's some surprisingly well-written backstory or a genuinely compelling rivalry. Then, and only then, might I begrudgingly admit it wasn't a complete waste of my time.
