Another Neptunia game? Honestly, I barely even care about these things. Compile Heart just keeps churning them out, don't they? This time it's 'Neptunia Unlimited,' slated for release on Switch, Switch 2, PS4, and PS5. It's another entry in a series that, let's be frank, often leans heavily on its established tropes. But *sigh*, I suppose I'll have to acknowledge it. The sheer persistence of this franchise is almost... admirable, in a way.

I suppose the fact that it's launching on so many platforms means they're expecting a decent turnout. It's always a gamble with Compile Heart, though. Sometimes they manage to inject a surprising amount of heart into these games, and other times... well, let's just say it's a good thing there are other anime-inspired titles out there. Still, the promise of new content for the Neptunia faithful is there, and who knows, maybe this 'Unlimited' iteration will actually surprise me with its depth or a genuinely engaging story. Don't get your hopes up, though.

At this point, it's more about the tradition than anything else. Every few years, we get a new Neptunia. Whether it's a groundbreaking experience or just more of the same, it will undoubtedly find its audience. I'll be watching, mostly to see if they learned *anything* from the last one.
