So, 'Chainsaw Man' is over. Big deal. I suppose it’s a shame for those who were SO invested in Denji's… adventures. It’s not like I was glued to the Shonen Jump+ website or anything, waiting with bated breath for the next chapter. It just… ended. Chapter 232, apparently. Whatever.
Honestly, the whole thing ran for a while, didn’t it? Started in Weekly Shonen Jump back in 2018, had a little break, and then Part Two kicked off in Jump+ in 2022. I’m sure there were plenty of fans who thought the pacing was just right, or maybe too slow, or perhaps too fast. Frankly, it’s all rather dramatic, isn’t it? I wasn’t paying that much attention, but I guess the final volume is coming out in June. Good for them.
It's just… manga. It has its arcs, its climaxes, and its inevitable conclusions. I’m sure the anime adaptation by MAPPA did its part to keep things interesting. But really, it’s just another story reaching its endpoint. Don’t get me wrong, some parts were… adequate. But let’s not get overly emotional about it. It’s just a manga, after all. Really.
