Annecy Festival Showcases Global Animation Gems This June!

Alright, alright, another festival. They're always showing off *something*. This year, it's the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, happening from June 21st to 27th. They're going to be screening a whole bunch of anime, including some… interesting titles. We've got 'Candy Caries,' which sounds… cheerful? And then there's 'Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia,' which sounds like it might have some unique cultural elements. Whatever.

Then there's 'Takopi's Original Sin' and 'Sparks of Tomorrow.' I suppose it's good that these international productions are getting a spotlight. It's not like I'm going to be glued to the screen watching every single one, but it's important to acknowledge the breadth of animation out there. Some of these might even have a decent story, if you can get past the title.

So, if you're really into animation from every corner of the globe, mark your calendars for June. Just don't expect me to be raving about it. I've got more important things to… observe.
